Halloween is a date celebrated on the night of October 31st. Celebration is most practiced in the United States of America and Canada. Children wear costumes and they go to peoples' homes saying "Trick or treat!" to ask for candy or sweets in the United Kingdom and then people give it to them. This practice originally involved a threat. A threat is when someone says that they will do something bad if they do not get what they want. In this case the threat could be explained as: "Give me a treat or I will play a trick on you." Children today, however, usually do not play tricks if they do not get treats. Some children will still get up to mischief (pranks or things to make fun of people; like putting toilet paper in trees; writing on windows with soap or throwing eggs at peoples' houses) around Halloween. People often dress up as ghosts, witches, or other scary things for Halloween. Check out these amazing scary halloween props.

Not every inch of Paris is as romantic as you think—in fact, the Catacombs are downright chilling. Prior to the creation of the Catacombs in the mid-18th century, Parisians buried their dead in cemeteries. But as the city continued to grow, burial grounds ran out of space, and tainted groundwater affected nearby residents. The Catacombs provided ample and safe space for deceased loved ones, which Parisians used for nearly 30 years. Today, the solemn, skull-and-boned lined tunnels weave beneath the heart of the City of Love, beckoning to visitors with an interest in the departed. But because of the catacombs' maze-like layout, you will need to take a guided tour to avoid getting lost. Also, one TripAdvisor user volunteers some fashion advice: "Do wear sturdy footwear as the paths inside are gravelly, uneven and slippery in sections." You can access the Paris Catacombs from the Denfert-Rochereau metro station in the 14ème Arrondissement (district). Visitors are welcome to tour the Catacombs Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; tours cost €8 EUR (around $10 USD) for adults and €4 EUR (roughly $5 USD) for visitors between the ages of 14 and 26. Children 13 and under can enter for free. For more information, visit the Catacombs website .

God, I loved The Cryptkeeper. It was just scary enough for a kid without causing nightmares. Perfect. Each episode begins with a tracking shot leading to the front door of the Crypt Keeper's decrepit mansion. Once inside, the camera pans down hallways and stairways, and finally descends into the basement. The show's host, the Crypt Keeper, then pops out from his coffin, cackling wildly. Then, the slime covers the screen while showing the title. The Crypt Keeper is an animated corpse, as opposed to the original comics in which he was a living human being. The wisecracking Crypt Keeper, who was voiced by John Kassir and performed by puppeteer Van Snowden, would then introduce the episode with intentionally hackneyed puns (e.g. his frequent greeting to viewers: "Hello, Boils and Ghouls" or "Hello, Kiddies").

Tarantula's are sometimes scary. Heck, even dogs are sometimes scary. However, there is nothing scarier than a dog dressed up in a pretty convincing tarantula costume. I'm just sayin' if I came home to that I would certainy be traumatized.   Even if it was Halloween. A prison costume would be much cuter.   I realize cuteness is not always the goal.... Here's a terrifying spider costume for your souless pranksters out there.
